东营人民亲切而友好

5月13日晚，在东营宾馆一楼餐厅就餐的众多外国选手中，来自肯尼亚的斯坦利和科曼显得格外引人注目。今年30岁的斯坦利身材健美修长，黑黑的皮肤泛着健康的光泽，头发卷曲，笑容中透着几分腼腆。他说自己很喜欢吃中国菜，尤其是蛋炒饭和面条，而且非常喜欢吃黄河口的鱼。

“很好”，斯坦利非常健谈，当谈到对中国以及东营的感受时，斯坦利说的最多的就是这个词。斯坦利介绍说，他的同伴科曼是第三次来中国参加马拉松赛事了。第一次是在北京，第二次是在大连，并在大连马拉松比赛中取得了第四名的好成绩。而他也参加过去年在大连举办的马拉松赛事，取得了第七名。

斯坦利告诉记者，5月13日，他们借下午训练的机会，顺便在宾馆附近街道转了一下。东营给他们留下的印象很好。斯坦利说：“东营人民亲切而友好，能够感觉出来他们很欢迎外国朋友的到来。”斯坦利请记者现场教他们说了几句常用汉语。出乎记者意料，斯坦利发音很准而且学得也很快。记者的鼓舞为斯坦利带来了信心，他决定有机会的话一定要再来中国学习汉语。

作为肯尼亚的专业长跑运动员，虽然每天都要进行大量高强度训练，但斯坦利和科曼表示并不觉得累或者苦，“Nothingcomeseasily”。对于此次参加黄河口马拉松大赛，他们表示并不觉得紧张。经过多年的专业训练以及一丝不苟的培训，他们有信心跑出好成绩。在被问及今年大赛希望有什么收获时，斯坦利表示：“Hopeforthebest”。作为一名职业赛手，取得更好的成绩就是他们的使命。

Pointing out the dinning table. He told the journalist that his favorite Chinese cuisines are egg-fried rice and noodles. The Yellow River Delta fish is also very delicious.

“Nice” is the most frequent word Stanley used when taking about his impression upon Dongying and China. According to his introduction， we came to know that it has been the third time that his friend Komen come to China， with the first time in Beijing and second time in Dalian. What’s more， Komen ranked 4th in Dalian Marathon competition and Stanley the 7th.

Stanley told us， Dongying has left them a very good impression and he said Dongying people are very friendly and they could feel the welcome of the local people. Stanley also asked the journalist to teach him some Chinese daily words. To our great surprise，he picked the Chinese pronunciation up very fast. Encouraged by the journalist，he decided to come back to learn Chinese if possible.

As professional runners who take tremendous and high-intensive training everyday， Stanley and Komen have no complain. “Nothing comes easily”. As for this round of Marathon，they are not nervous at all. Years of hard practice and serious attitude have given them enough reasons to be confident in any race. When being asked about the expectation of this competition， he said they are "hoping for the best" As a professional racer，to win is their mission.
